How to Update to 5.1.1
- There are two ways, either you connect your computer to iTunes or update it straight from your iPhone via Wi-Fi.(i'd prefer straight update from iPhone)
- For doing it from your iPhone go to Settings>>General>>Software Update
- If you'd be eligible for the update you'll see the above page. From here click "Download and Install" and accept the agreement it'will take approximately 12 minutes for the downloading and preparation of the update (depends on connection) as it is a small update of just 54MB,and then it will show a pop-up message like below.
- Click Install and it will verify the update and your iPhone will reboot and your screen will turn black with a progress bar shown.
(As in Restoring)
- After that your iPhone will Restart with same settings and appearance as it was in previous version!
Enjoy!
Note:
- If you want your iPhone Jailbroken then please don't update it to 5.1.1 as their is no jailbreak available for this iOS version.
- During Update connect your device to a power source
