How to Submit Your Website/Blog to DMOZ

DMOZ also known as The Open Directory Project (ODP) is the largest web directory, and adding your website to it is a great privilege. This is a famous website and submitting your site to it is also much easy but I received many questions and people were asking that how we can submit our website to DMOZ directory, it was surprising for me but not much. So to answer all those question I am posting this delicious post on How To Submit Your Blog/Website to DMOZ. By adding website to DMOZ you'll get a high PR backlink and a greater traffic and good position in Search Engines and a lotsa more!
Here we Go..

Steps

1.) Hit DMOZ, here you'll see categories on the front page.

2.) Browse through these categories and enter a suitable category for your blog/website.

3.) When you have found your suitable category then click "Suggest URL" on the right top of the web page and you'll be redirected to a form asking for website/blog information.

4.) In this form the fields will be as follows:

(I)

The first field will be about your website/blog URL.

They will also ask you to tell whether it is RSS,Regular,PDF or atom,answer it by checking the box. 

So here enter your URL and proceed to the nexte step.

(II)

The second field will be demanding for your Website/Blog title.

Here enter your title and proceed to the next field.

(III)

This field will be for your Blog/Website Description.

Fill it fairly and move to next field.

(IV)

This field will demand for your mailing address. 

Enter your Email here and move to next step.

(V)

This field will be user verification (captcha). So enter the verification code and read the Submission Agreement. After reading it and click Submit which will be located at the extreme bottom of the page.

That's it and your done with your submition. Now what you've to do is to pray and wait for the website/blog to be indexed. Sometimes it takes lesser than a week and sometimes it cam across 6-7 months. Their volunteers review your website thoroughly that if it meets their standards or not. So before submitting please examine your website that "Is it eligible to be a part of that kind of huge directory?"....Common Sense!

Donot submit URL again and agian.
